CarPlay on Mercedes: factory activation or new screen?

On a Mercedes, the solution depends mainly on the year and the multimedia system. Recent models can get CarPlay on the original screen; older ones use a large screen made for the dashboard.

A-Class W177 and recent models (2019 onwards)

On the A-Class W177 and Mercedes models of the same generation, the original screen can display Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If the option wasn't chosen when the car was bought, we install it on the original screen at our Anderlecht workshop: you keep the Mercedes interface and its two screens.

A-Class W176, CLA, GLA (2013–2018)

These models don't have a screen capable of running CarPlay. The solution we fit most often is a large 10.25 or 12.3-inch screen in place of the original screen, built into the dashboard, with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. The result looks like a factory finish.

C-Class W205 and GLC X253 (2015–2018/2019)

Same principle: a large 12.3-inch screen replaces the original display, with CarPlay, Android Auto and the option to add a reversing camera. The steering wheel controls and touchpad are kept depending on the version.

How much does it cost?

As a guide, at our workshop: from €245 for the A-Class W176, CLA or GLA with a 10.25-inch screen, from €295 for installation on the original screen of an A-Class W177, and from €395 for a 12.3-inch screen on the C-Class or GLC. The exact fitted price for your car is shown in our selector.
